This is a native, short lived bunchgrass that readily reseeds. It is a fast growing restoration grass with fibrous roots that spread deep and wide. It adapts well for upland and woodland areas. Grows best in full or nearly full sunlight and moderately moist soil but has been found to grow well in a variety of soil types.
